2. Arriving in Leipzig

Please contact immediately after your arrival in Leipzig the following institutions:

The International Center (Akademisches Auslandsamt): You will have to do the matriculation procedure there
, they will provide you with further information about city hall registration etc.
, you will get your student ID, password for moodle and other important data there | Contact the International Center

Your ERASMUS coordinator is your contact for all matters of studying and teaching. She/he will help you to put together your schedule and learning-agreement, and answer your questions about courses and their contents. Each subject of study has its own ERASMUS coordinator | Find your ERASMUS Coordinator.

The mentors of the faculty and StiL-Buddies: in any case of trouble or doubt you are always welcome to contact us.

Before the term starts, you should choose your classes. Please be aware that exchange students do not have to follow the same rules for class registration than students of programmes of degree. As exchange student…

  • … you do not have to stick to the module structure of the programmes, but: you can chose those seminars and lectures that fit best to your home curriculum
  • … you do not have to register via AlmaWeb or Tool, but: you have to ask your teachers (either in person or via mail) if there are capacities left in their classes. Usually there should be no problem and you should be accepted in all courses you wish to do

If you have any further questions on the content of  your classes, or which courses to choose, please get in touch with your ERASMUS-coordinator. If you have any general doubts or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the mentor of this faculty.
