Module enrolment

The start of a new semester or respectively the start of studying at a new university is not always easy. On this page you can find an overview about how to enrol at modules or courses if you are an exchange or regular student.

Module and courses enrolment for exchange students (Erasmus + bilateral contracts)

As an exchange student you do not enrol through one of the online portals (like AlmaWeb or Tool). Instead, you will talk directly with your Erasmus coordinator or responsible lecturer about your class schedule and your preferred modules.

Partly, it is also possible to not take a full module, but only choose single courses. It depends on the amount of credits which you need and on the regulations of the study programme. Please talk to your responsible lecturer about it.  Further, there might be a possibility of doing a special examination. In this case, please also talk to your lecturer.

Module enrolment for students (full time at Leipzig University)

The central online-portals for enrollment are AlmaWeb and Tool. In some master programmes, there might also still be manually enrollment.

You can find detailed informations at AlmaWeb.

Your student mentor and your responsible study consultant will kindly support you with the planning of your class schedule. If you are a first-semester student, you should first go to the introductory event of your department. Here, you will get an overview about the structure of your study programme and they will provide you with helpful advices.
